Dewi is a visual storyteller who animates ideas into something that makes you feel excited to explore. Dewi loves to create and write characters that eventually end up in piles and piles of unfinished stories and worlds. Developing stories with deep emotional connections between characters has become her drive as a filmmaker.
Dewi mainly works as an animator and concept artist, occasionally picking up her passion for scriptwriting.
Her graduation film Layang-Layang has been screened at several festivals such as Cinekid Filmfestival, Nederlands Filmfestival and Kaboom Animation Festival.
Dewi is currently working on a short film about magic, Dutch folklore, found family and finding love within (2024)
